Social Success Project created by Marilyn L. Perry, Ph.D. and Associates
The purpose of the Social Success Project created by Marilyn L. Perry, Ph.D. and Associates is to promote healthy development and well-being by providing results-based, therapeutic coaching and training services for adults, teens, and families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorders. The Social Success Project strives to strengthen communication skills, facilitate social-emotional development, and improve executive functioning skills including but not limited to time management, organization, and goal setting.
Using these target goals tailored specifically for each individual client, clinicians in the Social Success Project foster confidence, promote a higher degree of independence, and support clients in realizing their full potential. Multiple methods are utilized including art therapy, video-taping, and role-playing to reinforce new behaviors and solidify concepts. Services offered by the Social Success Project include group therapy, individual therapy, vocational counseling, individual coaching services, center-based and off site services, art therapy, mindfulness training, and exposure to natural settings.
Weekly groups currently being offered include the Social Dance Programs (for ages 11 to 30 years old), a Career Path support and psycho-educational group, and ASD Social Learning Groups. Additional monthly groups currently being offered by Sacramento Aspergers Information and Support
