Minor Emergency Response Team (MERT)

2150 Stockton Blvd Sacramento, CA 95817

Crisis intervention and stabilization services for children and youth for up to 23 hours. Authorization for inpatient psychiatric settings and psychiatric crisis foster care beds.

Children/youth in crisis with psychotic symptoms, suicidal or violent behavior.

Youth, parents or agency staff may call or go to the Sacramento County Mental Health Treatment Center 24 hours per day/seven days a week. or

Managed Care Medi-Cal Realignment

Inpatient Hospitals

·      BHC Sierra Vista

·      St. Helena

·      Sutter Hospital

24-hour full-range psychiatric services in a locked setting.

Children who are a danger to themselves or others or

require 24- hour care in a medical setting.

Referred and authorized by MERT as medically necessary.

Realignment Medi-Cal

Partial Hospitalization

·      Sutter Hospital

Short-term intensive treatment program in a hospital setting.

Children and youth who can avoid inpatient hospitalization and benefit from this program or who have been discharged from a hospital and require further stabilization.

Authorization by MERT or Inpatient Utilization Point of Authorization (POA).

Realignment
