The TLCS Mental Health Crisis Respite Center is available to all Sacramento County residents, at least 18 years of age experiencing a temporary, severe mental health crisis who are not in immediate danger to themselves or others.

Please call .

After a short phone screening, if the Crisis Respite Center is deemed to be an appropriate level of service, the individual will be welcomed and may be eligible to stay up to 23 hours.

While at “The Center” a professionally trained Service Coordinator will offer active listening in a nonjudgmental, confidential, culturally sensitive and inviting atmosphere.

This is a non-medical facility, with the primary goal of stabilizing the individual in crisis while addressing their basic need for a safe environment and emotional support so that they are better positioned to explore their crisis with a solution oriented mindset.

Every guest will leave with an individualized resource plan, including strategies to avert future crises. Staff will follow up to ensure the crisis has been managed. Please call
