Mental health servicesprovided to children in the Head Start Preschool program.

 

Children 3-5 years

unsuccessful in mainstream preschool due to behavioral challenges.

Referral sent to the Access Team by Head Start Preschool.

Medi-Cal

 

Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)

·      UCD

Structured behavioral and communication skill training for parents and caregivers as they interact with their children.

Children age two through seven years old.

Referral from CPS social worker to the Access Team.

Building Blocks Intensive

·      River Oak

Intensive assessment/diagnostic and treatment services for children who exhibit severe mental health concerns.

Children age two up to age six who need more than an outpatient program can

provide.

Referral to the Access Team by a parent, caregiver, school, agency or community member.

Building Blocks Foster Support

·      River Oak

Foster support services to young children in a therapeutic foster care home.

Children age two up to age six that are at risk of losing their foster placement.

Referral to the Access Team by a parent, caregiver, school, agency or community member. or Children’s Receiving Home.

Infant Mental Health Program

·      UCD

Mental health services provided to infants and toddlers with their caregivers.

Services are primarily home based. Clinicians sited at eight Birth & Beyond Family Resource Centers.

Infants and Toddlers up to age three.

Referral to the Access Team by a parent, caregiver, school, agency or community member.
